Specsources Updates SpecBIM for 2012

ATLANTA, GA – Specsources, Inc., a leading provider of interior design FF&E software, announced today that it has launched a new update of it’s SpecBIM tool, which is now compatible with Autocad’s Revit Architecture 2009-2012.

SpecBIM links Revit object parameters to fields within the Specsources V3 Console software application. The Control Number, Area, Location and Qty fields can now either be manually entered for each object within Revit or mapped to existing Revit Parameters. In only moments, an interior design firm can pass large amounts furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) information from the Revit project to Specsources, where the interior designer can then complete their specifications.

A new flexible grid system allows the user to visualize furniture existing in Revit, Specsources or both as well as manage counts. Data can also be directly exported to Excel.
