Specsources Ends Support of its Manufacturer Catalog Library

ATLANTA, GA – November 14, 2005 -- Specsources, Inc., a leading provider of interior design furniture specification solutions, announced today that it will no longer support it’s third party commercial manufacturer catalog library.

“After polling many of our users and re-evaluating our core business, we have made the decision to concentrate on expanding our commercial and hospitality furniture specification tools and to move away from the business of managing manufacturers catalog information.  We will still keep our over 100,000 pieces of spec data and CAD symbols for reference only until 2006.” Commented Wade Ballance, Vice President of Operations.  He continued, “Our original model was to become a one-stop source for commercial furniture product information as well as developing tools around the data.  As the number of small to mid-size furniture manufacturers has increased and an across the board standard in electronic data has not become widely used, we have received feedback from our users that over 95% of the time, they are entering their own information into their custom library and not using our stock data.”

Specsources will continue to expand upon its current product offering which now includes web-based specification tools for both the commercial and hospitality industry.

“Our hospitality tool has gained tremendous acceptance and we are continuing to build upon its functionality”, commented Wade Ballance.  He continued, “Because we offer firm specific customization of both our hospitality and commercial applications, we can build tools around the exact business processes that a firm currently uses.”
